AADM - Extended Western Zone Seminar - 27th March 2011

Aniruddha’s Academy of Disaster Management had organized a seminar on disaster management for its Disaster Management Volunteers of extended western zone of Mumbai stretching from Borivali to Dahanu on Sunday 27th March 2011.  The event started at 9.45AM with arrival of Param Poojya Bapu’s Paduka which was followed by group prayers performed by all the DMVs. Keynote address was delivered in which the aims and objectives of creating Disaster Awareness through this seminar were stressed. The programme proceeded with presentations from DMVs on various topics related with disaster management viz., Use of I.T. in Disaster & Risk Management, Evacuation Planning, Vermiculture, Global warming, Importance of Preparedness in Disaster Management, etc.  Further a Workshop on Use of Fire Extinguisher was conducted which was followed by live demonstrations on Rescue and Snake Handeling techniques in which all the DMVs actively participated.  The last session of the seminar featured refreshing and devotional Satsang and Gajars.
